East Side Industrial Park
This 11 acre park is located on the east end of Owen, approximately 1/2 mile from State Hwy 29. There are about 6-1/2 acres still available for purchase and development. The area is zoned manufacturing and both the Victory Medical Clinic and a pole shed are located on the two lots that have been developed. The City provides water and sewer services to the area and fiber optic services are also available through a private carrier.
Two New Business Parks to be Developed in City of Owen
Two new parks are in the process of being developed in the City of Owen, both having easy access to a major four lane highway. The City has annexed the area and plans to add needed infrastructure in 2010. On the north side of Hwy 29, the City will be developing an approximately 38 acre commercial park, with five proposed lots available for purchase. On the south side of Hwy 29, the City will be developing an approximately 70 acre park dedicated to ventures in the areas of agribusiness and bioenergy. There are thirteen lots available for development in this park. Lot #3 will house the Central Wisconsin Agribusiness Innovation Center, a one-of-a-kind facility bringing together educational opportunities, business incubators, meeting rooms, office space, conference rooms, and a historical area devoted to all things related to agribusiness and bioenergy. The building will be LEED certified and used to demonstrate how a 49,000 sq. ft. building can be environmentally friendly. Fundraising for this building has begun.
